The End

I have decided to take a break from day to day blogging for a while. I have many projects that I need to be working on in which I will direct some time. I also want to develop my photographic style a little more and will concentrate on that.

I will check in and leave a few comments once in a while but you may not see any updates here unless I have something I feel strongly about sharing. I will miss you all and hope to regain contact as fall approaches. (I have at least one request for fall colors that I will definitely need to keep.)

Take care everyone and as Spock would say "Live long and prosper."

Posting daily certainly can take its toll. This isn't supposed to be a job, after all (for most of us, that is).

Good luck in all your endeavors, photographic and not.

This space will remain on my RSS feed reader, but maybe not on my links list (I try to keep only active blogs on there).

I'll second what Mark said. It's supposed to be fun. And if it's keeping you from doing what you would rather be doing right now...then daily posts is not what you should be doing at this point.

I've certainly enjoyed your shots and will look forward to anything you post up here in the future. And hopefully I'll see you 'round Mark or my site occasionally.

PS - That's one heck of a sweet caboose on that thing [nudge, nudge, wink, wink]

Mike,

I'll miss your pictures, but I know what you mean. I never committed to posting daily, but even periodic posts are difficult when we have a lot to do, and my blogs have been somewhat neglected lately...
I'll keep watching!

Well mark, I will truly miss your blog but as the others have said, the Daily grind can be hard to keep up. Blogging should be fun and not work. That's why I don't list myself as a daily photo (though it mostly is)
Take care and drop by once in a while. i will keep you on my favorites list and look forward to some Fall color photos.

Mike,
I check in daily, though I don't always comment for lack of time. You'll be missed while you're gone. Ahhh... time off. I could use some of that!

OK dear Mike,
I completely understand your feelings and respect them also,

I must say that I feel some days the same way and even apologise sometimes that I cannot post daily always. It takes a lot of time!

Its not my job ,not yours either?

For others it probably is, andyes its supposes to b fun and it has to help your creativity, for me it worked....

I was at a dead end and start reading all different blogs, and commented on them, they comemnted back, that helped me to make a fresh start again, I am talking now that I start reading commenting in JUNE this year...

And see how far I came?

You might wanna make also a small collection of people you want to visit? or give your comment, just for your own inspiration., ask for feedback... just an idea.

I will miss you honestly....

Bye I'll visit you again.

:) JoAnn

Hi Mike

I will miss your regular visits, I am sorry i have been a bad blogging buddy and not kept up my end but hopefully as the horse show season ends and winter comes I will find more time. I have managed to post something on mine every day since January 1st but it is sometimes quite hard but I made the commitment and as I so often dont see things through I am determined to pull this off. It is harder when I am away overnight because I dont always know if I will have internet access.

I love your posts (when I do get to catch up) the stories and history surrounding them are very informative and you have definitely developed a personal style in the months that I have been visiting here. I live right next to a railway track as you know and I can't help but think of you and your love of trains every time I hear one come down the track LOL. I look forward to when you can be on here regularly again. Taxes will miss you, he is such a little tyke and I will start posting pics of him again soon I hope. Thanks for keeping up with my blog, I always smile when I read your comments.

Take care (((Hugs)))

i TOTALLY understand....but you will be missed. i've learned in my (almost) one year of blogging that it comes and goes like the tide. inspiration, time, priorities.... they all factor in to how much time can be spent blogging.

have fun during your time away....and i'll look forward to seeing some fall colors from the ozarks this fall.

Blogging daily does become something of a job. I have had to sit back and whack away at things and start over. I love photography and have been doing it since 1953 when I bought my first Canon Camera in Japan and used it with black and white film and thought Tri-X was out of this world. And then color came out and we were all afraid it would fade out and some of it did.

Anyway. I hope you figure out how to share what you do without it becoming a job.

And then let me know.
