A Pair of Double Deckers

These two porches were seen on the way to Pea Ridge, Arkansas. They are on Highway 37 South of Monett, Mo.

I saw more double deck porches this trip than I have ever seen. I am not sure what causes the proliferation of these around the town of Monett.

I hope everyone has a good Wednesday. I have some different pictures for later in the week.

When I saw the title I was expecting to see a couple of buses.

A different species of "double-decker" altogether but good to see them.

Hey! I recognize those houses. We've traveled that section of Hwy 37 many times.

I never thought of the proliferation of double porches near Monett. Interesting.

Nice shots.

Very cool, I find myself wishing there was a horse standing in the field with the white fence in front of the house LOL. I wonder why the double decker porches are so common in that particular area?

I've never seen double decker porches like that. Is the building a single house, or is each floor a separate apartment?

Annulla, the house is a single residence in both cases.

They are huge... I don't think I have ever seen double porches in the US. First time!

Makes you want to sit on the veranda and sip a mint julep. Whatever that is.

I love the top one, that's a beautiful place.
