Celebrating the Heart of America, Her People and Places
When I saw the title I was expecting to see a couple of buses.A different species of "double-decker" altogether but good to see them.
Hey! I recognize those houses. We've traveled that section of Hwy 37 many times.I never thought of the proliferation of double porches near Monett. Interesting.
Those are beautiful.
the architecture is marvelous and you captured it perfectly mike!!!
So many places to sit and read and sip some sweet tea.Nice shots.
Very cool, I find myself wishing there was a horse standing in the field with the white fence in front of the house LOL. I wonder why the double decker porches are so common in that particular area?Lori
I've never seen double decker porches like that. Is the building a single house, or is each floor a separate apartment?Blather From Brooklyn
Annulla, the house is a single residence in both cases.
They are huge... I don't think I have ever seen double porches in the US. First time!
Makes you want to sit on the veranda and sip a mint julep. Whatever that is.I love the top one, that's a beautiful place.
