Balanced Rock

This is one of the most recognized landmarks at Arches National Park. There must be a million photos of this landmark around. I captured it in the late evening about an hour before sunset.

I know you guys are probably getting tired of the out West photos. The truth is I haven't been out to take any new photos since I got back. Too busy catching up for being on vacation I guess.

I hope to find something new and different this weekend but I am not sure what at this point.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

God don't make junk. Amazing example of how we didn't do this someone greater then ourselves did.

Great shot Mike.

It may be a "me too" photo, but it's still a good one. I'd much rather get my own picture of something than use someone else's, even if it's been done a million times.

This is stunning photo. You know, looking at this west photos I cannot help remembering of the legendary western movies which I enjoyed watching long ago, when I was a little girl. :-)

Hi Mike,

You are certainly getting around and getting some fantastic photos. The size of the rocks and the skies really give a great sense of size, it is all so massive.

Cheers Mark

It is amazing what wind and water can do. Who would have thought a whole mountain could be whittled down to look like that.

Can't you just see people from times past first coming upon this setup?

Taking off their hats and scratching their heads, no doubt.

I guess your's makes 1,000,001.
