Reflections on a Higher God

This is a photo taken at Washington Avenue Baptist Church on the Drury Campus. It is a well known predominantly African-American Church.

I have been struggling a bit lately with Church. Taking the photos of the Chapel and this Church have forced me to ponder my position and beliefs somewhat. We all go through life's ebbs and flows and I believe I am at one of those ebbs.

I hope you all have a good day today.

My first reaction was "but there aren't any reflections in this picture," but then I read the text, and realized you didn't mean literal, visible reflections.

I'm with you on the struggles, man, but I'm afraid I'm on a permanent ebb. Still, there's something amazing about chapels and old churches and cathedrals.

Hi Mike,
In my life...I have found that God has used the ebbs to encourge the flows.

Beautiful shot!

I like Kerri's remarks on ebbs and flows. I hope you can dig down deep and get your answers.

i never get tired of church photos... steeples, stained-glass windows, etc.

peace to you during your time of 'reflection'.... i have to remind myself often that it's not the church i'm accountable to- its made up of sinners and regular folks like me. and churches don't always reflect the One who they were made to point to....
