The Porches of Silverton, Colorado Part 4: A Most Unusual House

I am not quite sure how to characterize this porch. The "tunnel" is the porch, but then so is the little cupola. This partially underground home was to weird to pass up.

Don't you just love America? Our artistic expressions come out in the most unique ways. :)

I like this series a lot. You have some great porches to add to your collection.

What a view, indeed. Cool house, too. Makes me want to go inside.

Like everyone else I would like to see if the inside is as unique as the outside. At first I didn't think the house was finished. I have heard of sod homes but the earthen home with the rustic wood is a new one for me. Great series.

Did you get to see the inside? Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving with your family! We managed to have a traditional one... which was great!

Wow, there's got to be a story behind that house.

Wow that is too cool!!! I love it, someone using their vivid imagination LOL. Great series Mike, such a variety. There is no accounting for some peoples' tastes but if we all liked the same thing it would be a dull world.

Hope you are keeping warm and dry, I am sure you are having similar weather to us, all over the place, cold, warm, wet, dry all in 24 hours LOL.
