Ice Storm Again

Once again the Springfield and Southern Missouri area has been the target of a major ice storm. I went outside to take this picture of the icicles on one of my landscape lights and I can hear branches crashing all over. It is so sad to see all the trees being decimated year after year. We have about 3/4 of an inch on most everything in our yard. According to the weather forecasters we may be due for yet another round on Friday.

So sorry to hear about the storm and the one that might be coming. I hate to see all the big, old trees broken by the ice.

To anyone who hasn't been through it, that picture might seem pretty. Intead, it's a reminder of a potentially ruinous side of mother nature.

Storms. We got a little snow this morning. Not as much as was forecast for which I am thankful. Nice photo.

Wow, I can't even begin to imagine weather like you are having. In the last 2 hours the temps here have gone up 20 degrees. Its now 62 degrees at 10 AM.
You have taken a great picture with all those icicles. Please stay warm and safe.

It is desastrous...but eerily beautiful as well. The photo looks like one of those deep water jellyfish. Wonderful shot, Mike

That is pretty with all the glow from the light through the ice.

Nice shot there!
