A Time to Pause

It seems that interest in Ozark Photos has dropped to a point that I am going to hang up my hat for a while and rethink what I am doing. Due to a busy work and home schedule I realize I can no longer get around to make comments on each of your blogs. And quite frankly that is a big part of the fun of blogging. I will occasionally add some photos here and there of interesting things.

I wish everyone the best and I know there are a few regular readers who are not bloggers themselves and are more friends and family. Please contact me by my Ozark Photos email address and I will keep in touch that way.

Until next time, I hope everyone will get out and take a few pictures and enjoy what they are doing.

I've thought of doing this several times. I will not try to talk you out of it, not as a reflection of the quality of what you put out here (which is always worth seeing), but because I completely understand the motivations behind it (some of which I suspect you did not enunciate here).

You'll remain in my RSS reader, so I'll always know when you post. If more folks would use RSS readers, more of us would feel less anxiety about posting less often.

But, all that aside, the getting out there to others' blogs and leaving comments is a big part of building a blog following, unless it's a political or news blog.

Anyway, I hope to see you around sometimes.

Keep plugging away, Mike. Make yourself up a batch of new things and then put them online. With warm weather coming on and so much to do outside, the blogging business is something that we could all put off for another day. I suspect a lot of people will slow down or maybe even quit come warm weather.

You take care of yourself and stop by the brookville blog now and then when you have no other better place to spend time.

Hey Mike!

I totally understand where you are coming from but know that you will be missed, missed, missed!

Please come by for a visit and when you are taking pictures...when you look up or things seems to be off center...think of me!

Come around soon!

Well Mike, I am really going to miss you, your photos and friendly comments. I understand the pressures and difficulties in keeping up with blogging. I consider doing the same now and then too.
Take a rest, but please come back occasionally. Your pictures are too good to keep to yourself.

lovely picture.... i want to follow the tracks around the bend and see where they lead.

i understand about blogging sabbaticals and have taken several myself. take care of yourself and keep clicking the camera. it's been neat to see how all of us 'amateurs' have been growing in skill since we first put up our blogs. :)

Sorry to hear this as I always love your great photos. I am as guilty as the next at not commenting because of lack of time. If you want to pick up viewership I would recommend visiting Wom Tigley and signing up for SkyWatch Friday.

Hi Mike

I know how you are feeling. I think the strain and pressure that we are all living under is getting in our way a bit and I have also found myself uninspired.
Just to let you know Taxes is doing great, still naughty and the size of any of my other horses so he is going to be huge if he is this big at a year old.
I think of you and your blog every time I see a train and that is often as you know LOL because we live 500ft from one of the busier lines in Indiana. Still have a pic in mind that I want to shoot for you but the conditions have never presented themselves in the right way to get it but I will, one day.
I will check in from time to time to see if you have posted anything and hope that you will too.
All the best to you and your family

Lori and the brood
