Project Black - Take 5 - Shall We Dance?

My iTunes: Paint it Black - Vanessa Carlton

Being in a household with three women I get to see my share of romance movies. One of my favorites is "Shall We Dance" starring Richard Gere, Susan Sarandon and Jennifer Lopez. It got me interested in taking ballroom dancing lessons which we did for a summer. I never did quite get it down. It just isn't as easy as Richard makes it look!

This will be my final Project Black post as I will be getting ready to go to Colorado. I hope everyone has enjoyed the project!

This sure made an interesting photograph and the little bit of narrative made it a joy to see. I remember ages ago now, when I was in Tucson, Arizona for the summer, working, that the young couple I lived with took ballroom dance lessons from Arthur Murray studios. I enjoyed watching a room full of people dance and at all skill levels.

Great movie, and I like the way you tied it into project black. Good for you on the ballroom dancing!! I think every man who can should do that with his wife.

Mike, I'm enjoying all the pictures you've taken so far for Project Black. I used to swear off anything featuring Richard Gere, but the talent he showed in "Chicago" made me a fan. I guess the audio engineers might have helped him a little, but still he was good in that.

I loved that movie too.

Have a great time in Colorado and stay safe.

Have a wonderful time in Colorado. I love your photos and your sense of humor. The "pose" of the shoes alone is great, but the rose is just a perfect addition.

Have fun in CO. I'll look forward to seeing your photos of a state I know only a little.

I like the details in this photo, especially the rose. What a nice touch!

And thanks for your comment about the little black and white puppy.

I really like those shoes! I'm not sure how, but they're very evocative of elegance, and beauty. Such a simple, but wonderful, picture.
