Greensburg, Kansas...A Final Look

A final look at Greensburg and the residential areas. The new water tower replaces the one lost in the storm and stands over the world's largest hand dug well which is one of the 7 wonder's of Kansas. This well is huge and I just can't believe it was hand dug.

My final shot is of Amy sitting on what was the front steps of a Church in Greensburg looking over the damage.

Love the one of the young lady sitting atop the destroyed building.

I'm sure you saw Pierce City, MO after it was wiped out by a tornado just a few years ago. Well, I guess it's been five or so now. Some of your pictures of Greensburg remind me of that town's "after" shots.

Yes, I would agree. Pierce City is doing somewhat better but has recovered very much slower than Stockton that was destroyed the same day. I guess it helps what politicians you know!

I can't begin to imagine what it must be like to experience a tornado and all the destruction. Great documentation.
