Signs of Autumn

One of my favorite signs of Autumn is the annual migration of the Monarch butterfly. They come through here by the thousands. It is truly one of the greatest miracles of nature.

I am going to make "Signs of Autumn" a new series. I am doing this for my friend Stacy who loves fall colors. As shown above, I may get out of the box a little on this one!

Take care and have a good weekend everyone.

Can't wait to see this series. There is something so special about the colors of Fall.
Love the butterflies. The migration is fascinating.

Great start to the series.

When we lived near that area, I never looked into butterflies much, and always just figured that the "Monarch" butterflies I saw were the ones that look a lot like them. I see now that I probably was wrong.

This is great! I love the butterflies, too. The other day I was driving from west to east the 3 miles or so to my Littler, Little Guy's preschool... and slowly and gracefully all the way there an occassional monarch made it's way across the street in front of us... from left to right. It was beautiful! Looking forward to more fall photos!
