Signs of Fall - Summer's Flowers Burst Into Seed

An artichoke flower goes to seed and will soon send its new generation airborne. This was taken at Phelps Grove Park in Springfield.

Tomorrow we will leave "Signs of Fall" for a while for a special treat, which I am excited to share with you. It will give you a new idea for a "field trip".

This is an impressive black and white image. Very nice. (It looks like something I would like to sketch!)

Nice image Mike, I was out photographing the milkweed plants and their pods that are bursting open at the moment and sending their seeds out on silken wings. I wish I could get an image with the seeds in the air too but will take what I have.

Hope you are all well and thanks for your visits, I appreciate your kind words and thoughts.
