I wonder just how many pictures of this event were taken? This is a not so hot shot of the crescent Moon, bright Venus and just slightly dimmer Jupiter taken tonight. If I remember my facts right this will be the only time in the next 40 years this close of a line up of these three heavenly bodies will occur.

Wow, you're photo came out a lot better than mine! It was magical.
Nice work, Mike. I fell asleep on my hotel bed and missed the whole thing. Pretty angry with myself right now.
Glad you saw it and so wonderfully captured it.
I must be behind the times badly didnt know about this but you did a great job of capturing this, it is not easy, I have tried with other events and bever had this much success. Love the negative space you have used to enhance the photo.
very cool shot,
we watch it last nite,
i saw them tonight and was suprised at how fast they got farther and farther from the moon. i think it's a great shot.
I saw them, but didn't realize that it would be 40 years since it happened again. WOW!
I too was amazed how quickly they seemed to "part" each night after.
There was a night recently that the moon was soooo close and bright. I heard someone say that was the closest the moon would be to Earth in a long time too. Of course I tried to take a picture but my little thing does it no justice.
