Cafe du Monde

A must stop at Jackson Square in the French Quarter. I have finally become a coffee connoisseur since we began going to Riverbluff Church. This was good coffee even though the temperature was in the mid nineties!

Love these shots. The one of the server is especially good -- really captures what she's been going through. I used to wait tables, so I know only too well, and she looks how I felt a LOT of the time. So many of us miss shots like this because we're not willing (i.e. embarrassed) to pick up the camera and point it while inside an establishmen.

Oh my goodness, look at that Beignet! I have not yet made it to New Orleans, but I've been wanting Beignets for years now. How awesome was it?

What makes the beignets at Cafe du Monde so special, is the fact that you are eating them in the French Quarter of New orleans! That makes them pretty close to awesome... that and dipping them in your chickory coffee ;^) Yummmm.
I love New Orleans... you really should go there Rosey, it's a place like no other.
