The Santa Fe Depot in Strong City, Kansas

A reminder of a glorious day gone by. The old Santa Fe depot in Strong City, Kansas still stands proud along side the busy Burlington Northern Santa Fe mainline.

I LOVE these old train stations. They have so much character. But then again, I have spent a few hours in them watching my dad when he was a telegraph operator for the Frisco. Thanks for the memories.

I like the top shot, peeking at the old station through the trees, as we happened upon it while exploring the area. The second one is cool because at first the words looked like, "Tron City." If you could just knock off what's left of the "G," then you could tie it in with the new Tron movie.
